Micropigmentation is the implantation technique that deposits colored pigment into the upper reticular layer of the dermis. This procedure can simply be described as particles of colored pigment being placed mechanically below the surface of the skin. The most frequently treated areas are the eyebrows, top and bottom eyeliner and lip liner. Procedures generally take one to three hours depending on treatment size. All patients will be numbed prior to treatment to help reduce discomfort. Although the treatment fades after approximately 1-2 years, some pigment will remain to a greater or lesser degree, depending on the care of the treated area. Patients can return to work and normal activities immediately afterwards. The cost of micropigmentation can vary depending on treatment area.

Courtney Tator, LE, Licensed Aesthetician and Certified Micropigmentation Technician provides this treatment.
