Current Openings
Upstate Dermatology is seeking a patient services representative who is enthusiastic, well-rounded in a medical practice environment; presents a professional demeanor and positive attitude. This candidate has the ability to multi-task, works well in an office setting, and is detailed oriented. Medical office experience is preferred.
Job Duties:
- Data entry in medical management software
- Schedules patient appointments in person and on the telephone
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Responsible for accessing, maintaining and auditing all medical charts.
- Initiates the medical record by creating and processing the patient care record folder.
- Maintains patient confidence by keeping patient medical records (PHI) information confidential.
- Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Benefits Package: Yes
Hours/Pay Period: Biweekly / average 80 hrs
Schedule Details: Monday – Thursday, 7:45 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

Job Description:
The medical assistant provides supportive nursing care to RN’s; PA’s; NP’s and Physicians. Ideal candidate will have a strong interest in medical care; some clinical background; motivation and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. This full-time position provides a unique learning experience in all aspects of medicine.
Requirements: One year of medical related experience is preferred.

Job Description:
The licensed practical nurse (LPN) provides nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse (RN) or other assigned supervisor and accepts delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor in meeting the needs of the patient/family. Ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, a self-starter; experienced in setting-up and assisting in procedures, positive attitude and enthusiastic, has the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements: Must have a current New York State License and CPR certification.
